Intel vs AMD… the core battle

Tom Yager has an opinion or 2. How about this one: “Wait if you want to, but I’ll tell you this: If you take your first drive of 64-bit Vista on Quad FX, you may move up to Opteron, but you will never go back to IntelWait if you want to, but I’ll tell you this: If you take your first drive of 64-bit Vista on Quad FX, you may move up to Opteron, but you will never go back to Intel”

Yes, he’s convinced of AMD’s superiority in multi-core “megathreading” applications. I’d love to see some genuine competition in the PC processor market, and less of the somewhat arrogant marketing of the “leader”. Yager’s worth a read, you betcha.
